February 17th - Fashion and Beauty lighting Demonstration with Jon Gray FBIPP
Jon Gray FBIPP, author of the Complete Guide to Beauty & Glamour is one of the world's leading Fashion and Beauty photographers, he has been a professional photographer for well over 25 years, working mostly in the highly competitive world of Fashion, Advertising and Glamour markets. His commissions have taken him all over the world, shooting for a wide range of clients such as Gucci, B.P, Dunlop, and Vogue. He has also shot Calendars for Motor Way Tyres, BSL, Belaco, Dunlop, and Ferrari. Jon will commence the evening with an overview of his own work, providing valuable insights with regards to lighting and posing. This insight will lead into some practical demonstrations with Jon and a model using number different lighting setups. There will be ample time to ask questions so bring your notepads and even your camera if you wish. The evening will start as usual at 7:30pm and end at approximately 10:30 however you are more than welcome to arrive early and have a chat with the committee who will be around from 6pm setting up, you could even have a great value meal at the Owl before the start.
March 17th - Annual General Meeting followed by Colour Management
The end product in digital photography starts here. Whether for print or reproduction, if your set up is not fully managed not only may the results be disappointing, it could even be costly. Charlie Whiteman works in pre press, which demands colour fidelity.
April 21st - Print Competition
Because it sells doesn't mean it's good! This is a chance to compare your stuff alongside that of others. Not only a chance to hear a valued critique but you could win an award and enjoy the attendant. Take a look through your files now!
May 19th - Big Social Day
Dave Clark, Wedding Photographer of the Year for Scotland. Dave also runs a large schools photography operation backed up with his own laboratory and will discuss all these, together with his photography of nursery children. So there's something for everyone on the social scene. Take a look at his website.

June 16th - Another Big One
Adam Duckworth ABIPP has a presentation of images promises to blow your mind. You may never ever by asked to take pictures like this but need to be told how, you may fail. Another dynamic experience.

November 17th - New Speakers
There is a wealth of talent in the Region, some of it unsung. Come along to one of the biggest audience draws of the year and see what other members are doing. If you have a story to tell and would like to make a pitch, let Richard or Jackie know. Otherwise, we have ways of making you talk!!!
